About

The Shining Eyes Blog is an educational blog that contains podcast conversions about good teaching and engaged learners. It’s purpose is to engage educators in conversations about emerging practices for infusing information and communication technology (ICT) into the curriculum. It’s focus is on “good teaching” not technology.

Why Shining Eyes?

To hear the story behind the Shining Eyes blog be sure to listen to episode #1 on the Shining Eyes Podcasts.

The title shining eyes was inspired by Benjamin Zander and his TED Talk Video: Classical music with shining eyes.

The snippet that specifically defines the concept of shining eyes is found at 17:20min to 18:31min in the 20:44min video. The whole video is well worth watching.
